Reading Education Virtual Information Session

Our Reading Education programs aim to prepare teachers to influence and increase the literacy skills of students in grades K-12. Our programs emphasizes the study of language systems, comprehension and vocabulary, literacy assessments, and intervention models and offers two practicum courses working with students across K-12. We offer a PA Department of Education Reading Specialist Certificate (K-12). This certificate can be coupled with an M.Ed. in Reading Education. The reading specialist certification program is open to PA certified teachers.

The Office of Admissions & Enrollment Services (AES) and the Reading Education faculty would like to invite you to our Virtual Information Session! The Virtual Information Session will provide prospective students and practitioners the opportunity to speak with Dr. Michelle Sobolak, the faculty program contact and Director of Teacher and Professional Education to learn more about the program, curriculum, internship opportunities, and any other questions you may have.
