You're invited to join the University of Pittsburgh School of Education in celebrating National Transfer Student Week during the week of October 20-24, 2025!
We’re excited to recognize the unique journeys of our transfer students and provide opportunities for connection, support, and celebration. Whether you’re a current transfer student or just interested in learning more, there’s something for everyone throughout the week!
What to Expect:
School of Education Kickoff - October 20, 2025, 10am – 12pm. This is a casual celebration of transfer students with swag, pastries, and resource tables. All School of Education faculty, staff, and students are welcomed to attend. This celebration will take place in the School of Education Welcome Center.
Dish and Development with the Deans - October 22, 2025, 10am - 12pm. Join Dean Eboni Zamani-Gallaher and panelists Associate Dean Sirry Alang and Assistant Dean Andrea Zito to learn academic tips for success and student engagement resources available at Pitt Education. All current School of Education transfer students are invited to attend. This panel will take place in 5601 Posvar Hall (Colloquium Room).
Navigating the Transfer Experience Presentation - October 22, 2025, 1:30pm – 2:30pm. This presentation, hosted by Dr. Shallegra Moye and Jorden King, is for current School of Education students, and students interested in transferring to the School of Education to gain tips and tools on how to navigate the transfer experience at the University of Pittsburgh School of Education. This presentation will be hosted via Zoom.
