Teacher candidates engage in fieldwork five days a week in school sites with students with both high and low-incidence disabilities. Teacher candidates will collaborate with special education mentor teachers to develop and implement a plan by which the teacher candidate will, by the end of each experience, assume responsibility for the majority of provided instruction and classroom management. Experiences are designed to support teacher candidates' ability to recognize and apply evidence-based practices with students in the school context.
