This course guides EdD students through the process of developing a comprehensive overview document for the dissertation-in-practice. Students align, refine, and integrate previous milestone work (e.g., problem of practice, review of literature, theory of change, intervention plan) into a draft of their dissertation-in-practice overview. Students receive instructor and peer feedback on the overview draft and faculty support in gaining IRB approval, forming their dissertation committee, and practicing their overview presentation. By the end of the course, students have a well-developed proposal ready for committee review.
