Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Pittsburgh is cancelling or postponing all non-essential events that exceed 25 participants. Unfortunately, this has led us to the tough decision of postponing the School of Education’s 2020 Alumni Lecture with Dr. Bettina Love that was scheduled for Thursday, March 19, 2020. We regret not being able to have Dr. Love speak on critically important topics in education; however the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors is always our utmost priority.
We plan to reschedule a public event with Dr. Love at a later date, but due to the uncertainties regarding this pandemic, no date has been set at this time.

Dr. Love is an associate professor in the Department of Educational Theory and Practice at the University of Georgia and is an esteemed author. Dr. Love is also a two-time Pitt alumna, and completed her Master of Education in our School.
