Josh Childs, a doctoral student in LSAP, was selected for the 2014 David L. Clark National Graduate Student Research Seminar in Educational Administration and Policy. The event will be held in Philadelphia on April 2-3, 2014. More than 100 doctoral students were nominated this year from universities in the United States, Canada, and abroad.

Sean McComb, an English MAT alum, was recently named as one of four finalists for National Teacher of the Year. He was also awarded with Maryland's Teacher of the Year honor last October. You can read more about him on the CBS Baltimore Web site. The winner of National Teacher of the Year will be announced in April in the White House Rose Garden.

Robin Newham, an alumna of the School of Education, was recently named head of The Ellis School, an independent preK-12 all girls day school in Pittsburgh. She had been serving as the interim head of school since September. Read the announcement letter sent to Ellis community members here.
